Neurological Scans

At New Hope Chiropractic, we don’t like to guess, so we test!

We utilize an advanced chiropractic technology that scans your spine and delivers a computerized image of the stress and tension on your Central Nervous System. There are three different technologies that gives our doctors (and you) an objective assessment.

Thermal Scan

As you’d expect, this infrared technology measures temperature. Think of it as your acute regional stress measurement, that identifies areas of poor autonomic nerve regulation. When there are disturbances to your nervous system along the spine, there are often temperature differences from side to side. This can be due to inflammation and changes in blood flow. Our thermal scan is non-invasive and reveals the condition of your autonomic nervous system controlling your organs, glands and circulatory system.

Surface EMG

Our next technology is the highly-accurate, non-invasive Surface Electromyography (EMG). This technology measures minute amounts of electrical energy impulses (tone) within the muscles along your spine. A production of too much or too little neuromuscular activity represents disturbances in your Central Nervous System, caused by a subluxation. It’s more accurate than how you feel, and our team uses this scan to document your progress.

Heart Rate Variability

The Heart Rate Variability (HRV) technology measures stress and anxiety. Our doctors will analyze the overall effects of stress and anxiety stuck on your nervous system. From this we can determine your internal neurological adaptability. The best part, it can be done on any age!

What to Expect

At your report, you’ll get to see the computerized printout and learn what it means. We will combine each of the technologies together, to give you the clearest description of the health of your Central Nervous System. Because your care is based on the condition of your nervous system, not how you feel, this technology is the focal point of our practice.
