Torticollis

Flynn

When Flynn’s family first brought him to New Hope Chiropractic at just 14 months old, they were exhausted, worried, and out of answers. Flynn had struggled with torticollis since birth, beginning during his NICU stay, and it had also developed into plagiocephaly.

His parents had followed every recommendation — physical therapy, stretching, positioning — but they weren’t seeing full resolution. As he grew older, they worried the issue had become too severe to change.

Early on, Flynn showed clear signs that his nervous system was carrying a heavy load. He was stiff, arched his back often, banged his head, and consistently tilted to one side. That tension pattern kept him stuck and uncomfortable, affecting his movement, posture, and even his mood.

When we began neurologically-focused chiropractic care, our goal was simple: help his body release the underlying tension and stress within his spine and nervous system so he could move and develop with more ease.

With consistent care, Flynn made steady, meaningful progress.
✨ His neck motion became more balanced
✨ His torticollis unwound over time
✨ His plagiocephaly began to change
✨ His body became calmer and more at ease
✨ His communication and verbalizing improved

Most importantly, Flynn finally seemed comfortable in his body — something his parents had been longing to see.

His journey is a beautiful reminder that when we support a child’s nervous system, everything else becomes easier: movement, sleep, behavior, regulation, and development.
